Colombia is a country of cultural diversity, where the magic of tourism and landscapes are the axis of inspiration for foreigners and Colombians. Proof of this are the Colombians who have demonstrated through songs, books, interpretations of oral tradition, paintings and plastic works; the beauty and majesty of the Colombian republic. A living example of this is the botero museum that lies in the capital district. In which the figure of the Colombian worker is interpreted, the history of the territory and the Colombian social reality.

Within this museum, there are different exhibition rooms, some focused on paintings that represent the artist's vision regarding the human body, sexuality, femininity, family, armed conflict and among others. Likewise, you can see rooms focused on his sculptures carved in different materials.

It should be noted that there are also rooms where works by other artists are exhibited, which were donated by Botero and were part of his private collection.

Taking this perspective of the museum into account, many of our students have experienced this beautiful place; which causes opinions about the artist.

This is the case of Paul, who expressed feeling comfortable and excited; “the paintings are interesting and funny. I really like how it shows the fruits and animals”. In the same way, he made comparisons with some works that he has seen in other places; “These paintings are similar to some paintings I saw in Mexico, but these are more interesting because of their style.".

In turn, Laura indicated that she was enchanted by the artistic style of the painting, where there are many reliefs and what was painted is safely shown. However, our student, she has attracted more attention were the sculptures in different materials "I liked the statue of Botero, the woman lying down"

In addition, a beautiful day was enjoyed to admire the infrastructure of the museum. Adorned with plants, fountains and balconies.

Nueva Lengua and its students, we are pleased to know the cultural sites of Colombia, in order to demonstrate our historical and artistic wealth that our ancestors have left us. Come and visit our school and live a Spanish and cultural immersion experience.
