Our students from Nueva Lengua Bogotá, they visited and enjoyed all the characteristics of the Chicaque Natural Park.

The Chicaque Natural Park is a member of the National Reserves unit, which has within its characteristics a foggy forest, located just 30 minutes from Bogotá.

Ecological tourism or ecotourism, is one of the emblematic activities of Nueva Lengua. In Chicaque Park, you can enjoy hiking, horseback riding, two camping areas, restaurants, recreation, walks, tree houses ... you can do all this in the midst of an incomparable landscape.

chicaque It is located in a town called San Antonio del Tequendama, 30 minutes south of Bogotá.

The services that Chicaque Park has are:

  • Restaurants
  • Horseback Riding
  • Ecological guides
  • Bird watching.
  • Accommodation

The group that went with us to the park was made up of people of the following nationalities: Switzerland, the United States, Brazil, Russia, Germany, France, the Czech Republic, and South Korea.

Here is a photo of all our students at the entrance of Chicaque park, before starting the tour.

In this house it is possible to find the accommodation and restaurant service of the park. The attention is quite good and fast. The satisfaction of our students was high and possibly in the future they can return to the park.

Our student from Brazil, Thalita, enjoyed this great experience in Chicaque Park and proudly posed with her Brazilian flag.

The daughter of a family from the United States, she was also happy in the park and was able to breathe pure and fresh air, natural qualities of the Chicaque park.

Among the attractions of the park we can find a refuge, a butterfly observatory and a natural lagoon. These three scenarios are at different distances from each other and it is possible to go on foot or on horseback to any of them.

They were also accompanied by two of our employees, who have great experience in cultural activities of different styles. Thanks to Julián (the boy with green glasses and a cap) and Javier (the boy crouching first, from left to right), our students had a specialized and guaranteed guide in which our students could ask about the different qualities of the park and obtain always a truthful and timely answer.

All the articles in this blog have been written by the teachers of our school and by students from different countries who traveled to Colombia to learn Spanish.
