Mr. bombombum!
He is a young Korean, he was called that by the children of the foundation where he brought a typical candy from Bogotá called bombombum. The children ran, hugged him and he gave each child a bombombum, and that is why they nicknamed him that way and that is how they remember him. A simple young man with the soul of a child came to our School Nueva Lengua a to learn Spanish and offered as Voluntary in one of our foundations to help children. She played and talked with them, answered their questions about her Korean culture and the difference with Colombian culture.
If your purpose is to have an experience like Mr. Bombombum's, in Nueva Lengua you will find spaces to do volunteer jobs.. In our foundations they will welcome you and will be happy to receive you to support children in difficult conditions, help them with their homework, play with them, teach them to play an instrument or some artistic style or practice, dance, laugh and share with them in Spanish.
Suddenly you prefer to share with lonely grandparents who need to tell their stories, sing or dance their favorite song, walk in the park, enjoy a chocolate, listen to a story, remember their adventures, etc. That is feeling useful, happy and satisfied to help and give a little or a lot of what you have to those who you consider to be in need.
So ... "Let's get to that, little brother." typical Colombian expression that invites you to do a specific action
