Who has not dreamed of traveling to Latin America, dancing cumbia in Colombia or salsa in Argentina?

There is no doubt that to get the most out of your stay in South or Central America, you should speak Spanish. It is even more fun to be able to chat with the locals and discover the local culture through them.

And then Spanish is the second most spoken language in the world (after Mandarin and before English). It might be worth knowing. When you speak English and Spanish (and French), you are in a way the king of the world…

But then, where to learn Spanish? Colombia is known for having one of the most beautiful forms of Spanish. Spoken Spanish is perfect, pronunciation is clear and understandable, and the accent is softer here (especially in Bogotá) than in other Spanish-speaking countries.

Which school to choose? After countless searches on the internet, I decided to study Spanish in Nueva Lengua in Bogota and I'm very happy! I didn't speak a word of Spanish when I got to school and today I can carry on a conversation in Spanish.

5 reasons to learn Spanish with Nueva Lengua:

  • The extraordinary atmosphere. Whether it's administration people, teachers or students, they all talk and laugh together. The administration offices are always open, the employees are always in a good mood and happy to chat with the students, everyone has lunch together. There is real camaraderie. At the risk of being a cliche, Nueva Lengua it is like a second home and it is a nice feeling when you are away from home and alone in Colombia.
  • The courses. Classes are taught in small groups, which allows excellent monitoring. This way it is possible to ask all the questions you want to the teachers without falling behind in the program.
  • The teachers. The teachers are all qualified and share the same passion for teaching. They are cheerful (true Colombians!), happy to be there and very patient. They are also accessible: you can talk to them after class and ask them any questions you want during class.
  • Support groups or tutorials. Once a week, each student is entitled to private or small group tutoring to delve into the topics that interest them. A real advantage to progress quickly!
  • Afternoon activities. 4 afternoons a week, the school organizes activities that allow students to discover the culture of the country or city in which they are studying. Every week, you can participate in a cooking or dance class. Outings to museums, city tours or even games are also organized. Through these activities, the students quickly get to know each other and quickly bond with each other and with the “coaches”.
