Right now, I am studying Spanish in Colombia. When I arrived, I did not speak any Spanish. I am living in Cartagena with a Colombian family for six weeks. The family is very friendly and I speak Spanish with them most nights. I am studying Spanish in a school called Nueva Lengua, the atmosphere is very nice and everyone is very professional. I have an excellent teacher and two classmates who are very funny. We have learned a lot in four weeks and we practice conversation every day. I really like Cartagena. It is a nice old city. The people are very friendly and it is always hot. There is a lot to do here. After school, I often go to the beach with my friends and we play soccer. The weekends are great fun, the nightlife is excellent. Also, it is possible to leave Cartagena on weekends to see the area near here. We have been going to Playa Blanca with other students from the school for two days, also my friend and I had a break from school and we went to Santa Marta and the nearby area like Taganga, Tayrona and Minca. I am really enjoying my time in Cartagena and I hope to learn much more Spanish with Nueva Lengua.
