Bogotá is a city that, if you don't know it, is terrifying. History and past events have contributed to creating a negative fantasy about the Colombian capital, which happens to be the third largest and most populous city in South America.

However, today Bogotá is a city you will never imagine!

With its 9 million inhabitants, Santa Fe de Bogotá is spread out over a large plain that sits high in the Andes, 2600 meters closer to the stars, as Bogotans say!

It is a vibrant, energetic and multicultural city.

Every year Colombians come here from all over the country to start their studies, a new job or a new life. But not only that, foreigners from all over the world have already noticed the beauty of the Colombian capital for some years and have made this city their home, some just for a few months, and others for longer periods.

In our Spanish school Nueva Lengua, every week we receive new friends from many different countries and the greatest joy is sharing their adventure and our city together.

In Bogotá there are several very interesting museums to visit, such as the Gold Museum, the Botero Museum and the National Museum. with our friends from Nueva Lengua we visit these places together sharing the culture of our land full of fascinating and adventurous stories!

The historic center of La Candelaria, where once all the colonial life of the city and the independence of the country took place, is today a vibrant center with artists, colors, music and many places where you can stop to eat an ajiaco, have a Santafereña chocolate , or savor a chicha!

Best of study spanish in bogota is that there are many opportunities to practice the language with the locals.

In fact, Bogotanos are sociable and very open people, especially with foreigners. At times they can seem busy and rushed, as is the case in all major cities around the world. But even while waiting for the Transmilenio at rush hour, despite the long and stressful wait, people are always available to chat and smile!

What better opportunity to practice what you learned in the morning in class?

Another point in favor of Bogotá is that the Bogotá accent is the clearest in the country! This will help you a lot, especially in the first period, when you feel confused and a little confused.

So what are you waiting for?

The door to our school is always open and you are welcome to our home!

We are waiting for you to study Spanish with Nueva Lengua and discover together every corner of Bogotá!

See you soon 🙂
