A night where the tradition of an agrarian town joins with the modern festivities of Colombia. A disco bus, where we dance and shout to the beat of Latin American music. These buses were one of the most used public transportation by the agrarian regions since 1908 and were called ladder buses.

Among the colors that identify them, are blue, yellow, red, among others, colors that allude to the colors of the flag. We can see these vehicles in Ecuador, Venezuela and Panama. In 2006, she was awarded as a symbol of Colombian folklore. Originating from the Department of Antioquia; the creators of this vehicle were the Eng. Luciano Restrepo and mechanic Roberto Tisnés, natives of this region, who imported the chassis from the United States and built in Medellin the first body.

The sound emitted by its Claxon or Whistle resembled the bleat of goats and the villagers began to identify them under the name of “chiva”

The first models were basic, with a canvas roof (handmade fabric) and four armchairs that served as seats. Later, faced with the need to transport agricultural production and workers, a roof-rack-type grill and better seats were added, fixed to the vehicle platform. In Colombia, there are some regions that use this vehicle to transport indigenous communities and their reservations, as is the case of Cauca and Nariño.

Currently the goats are used as a tourist attraction, adapted as disco buses, better known as Chivas Rumberas, with a dance floor, lights, side benches and music selection via Bluetooth. These buses make tours of different parts of the city and are used to celebrate various moments of life, birthdays, bachelor parties, New Year's Eve, among others.

Nueva Lengua Spanish School, summoned 20 students to be part of this iconic transport. Students from Germany, Switzerland, France, Holland and England attended. The tour began at the school, Bogotá headquarters, we toured different neighborhoods while we danced and celebrated life!

The company we hired had some gifts and objects that are used in Colombian parties. Luminous bars and a big piñata with sweets! And what can never be missing, the turned hats and a Hawaiian necklace for a moment of the party that we call "The crazy hour"

At the school you can discover many aspects of our folklore and understand the magic of our landscapes. Come, enjoy Colombia and study with us.

We have cultural activities every day of the week!!

WE WILL WAIT FOR YOU
