I was seeking to improve my Spanish while taking a vacation to Colombia. I knew I wanted to visit Cartagena and found Nueva Lengua’s Spanish and recreational options appealing. I emailed Nueva Lengua seeking information and received a prompt response. I felt like it was well run so I booked for 2 weeks in Cartagena that included a homestay. The homestay family was great. They helped me get situated in Cartagena and provided plenty of opportunities to practice Spanish. I would highly recommend this option if anyone is seeking a more authentic experience while traveling. The Spanish classes were run with a high level of professionalism but still had a laid back feel to them. The class structure was well organized and the teachers were flexible when it came to students’ needs. There were multiple times we reviewed material that had been covered because we felt more practice was needed. There are a lot of recreational activities around Cartagena and the school had activities planned for 4-5 days every week. The school also arranged an activity I wanted to do by myself. All the activities were well organized. It was great having help with recreational planning at my disposal I would recommend studying with Nueva Lengua to anyone due to their high level of professionalism, great attitudes, and skills at teaching Spanish.
