Having the opportunity to host and show the best of Colombia to those who visit us from other nations is unmatched. For us in Nueva Lengua, Each student turns out to be a unique opportunity to share with them how wonderful we have and are as a country.
Since we began our work, we tirelessly seek that students carry in their hearts such a pleasant and unforgettable memory of our people, culture, food and language learning, so that they always want to return.
And it is also very gratifying that after these visits, hundreds of people from all over the world with different cultures and languages return happily to their places of origin. His affection for Nueva Lengua It is so great that they always leave us their impressions about the country, the teachers and our school.
IN GERMAN
Recently, Denise Hofstetter from Germany visited us for almost two months. First, six weeks in our headquarters of Cartagena and then one more in Medellin to continue perfecting Spanish. His testimony, written in German, can be seen and read at the following link:
The first thing Denise highlights is the location of our headquarters in Cartagena. She assures that it is in the middle of a varied menu of restaurants, bars and places to meet or have fun and also highlights its proximity to the renowned historic center of the city.
From Medellín, she affirms, having been enchanted by the city and its people, as well as the location of the headquarters in the exclusive Barrio el Poblado, one of the best and safest in the capital of Antioquia.
Faced with her academic experience, Denise shared her positive perception of the structure of our courses, but above all, she says, the motivation that our teachers give to the learning process.
Definitely, our seal has been one of our main characteristics, from the moment the first foreigner visited us to learn the language: we strive to teach Spanish with effective methods, which allow the student to learn in a short time and easily.
He also affirms that the classes were with topics of interest to him, such as learning about his work or his hobbies.
IN PORTUGUESE
Rosemary Rodrigues Dos Santos, from Brazil, in an always cheerful Portuguese and with a smile on her face that reveals the enormous satisfaction for the days she spent with us, says that if someone is looking for a relaxing place to enjoy life with a lot of sun, incredible landscapes, good food and learning Spanish; that place is Cartagena de Indias.
His testimony in Portuguese can be read here:

Then he gives us a spectacular definition for others to come. He says that Cartagena is a city of flavors, multicolored fruits and vegetables that are seen everywhere, in the food and in the landscapes. Above all, she places special emphasis on the sunsets that left her speechless.
The school says, it is located in a safe area that allows you to go out at night with tranquility and know the best places that are very close to each other. That helps in the economy and health because fewer taxis are used and more is walked.
For her, the small groups and the methodology allowed her to perfect her Spanish and make friends through exchange and the possibility of doing activities with other foreigners with other languages, equally interested in enjoying and getting to know Colombia.
In short, for this vacation, Cartagena was a perfect mix between a quick exchange, relaxation and fun.
IN ICELAND
Between the European Continent and Greenland is located Iceland, a country with no less than 300 thousand inhabitants considered by the UN in 2009 as the third most developed country in the world. From there, Snorri Eldjárn traveled to Colombia to study with us at the School Nueva Lengua and learn Spanish.
To read the testimony, click on the following link:
For Snorri an advantage of our School Nueva Lengua, compared to the others throughout the South American continent, after an arduous investigation that he himself carried out, is that you can travel between 3 cities (Medellín, Bogotá and Cartagena) and live intense experiences that are very typical of Latin society. He chose Cartagena because of the heat, which reaches 20 degrees. A temperature that in its country of origin can only be enjoyed when there is a very hot summer. The rest of the year is lived with a very low temperature.
"School is cool!" “The teachers know you by name and they want you to learn. The number of students in each class is good because it does not exceed five students per class ”.
When he arrived in Cartagena, Snorri did not know any Spanish, but three months later he himself noticed his progress with the language and the ability to speak fluently and without help, he says. Just as he is not afraid to dance Salsa now, he assures that he learned and can do it without making a fool of himself.
The Colombian family where he was hosted was also, according to his words, incredible. In fact, it was very 'hard' to have to say goodbye. For him, surprisingly, as for almost all of our students, unthinkable bonds of affection and friendship are created.
“The house was very clean, the meals were good and I felt great there. Of course, I will return to Cartagena one day to see my family who gave me meals for three months. What good people!
And you, what are you waiting to come to Nueva Lengua?
