I love that macaw and see how it tastes that sweet Colombian mango.

The colorful Colombian fauna, enjoying exotic fruits.

I'm sure they feed this one very well. From this image you can deduce why I love Colombia that variety of colors and flavors that you can find everywhere. For those who have already been to Colombia, I want you to close your eyes and bring to your palate the following fruits that I have been able to taste throughout my life in Colombia.

Imagine a dining room table in a house with a tray of fruits such as: guama, sapote, soursop, pineapple, guava, mandarin, mamoncillos, orange, plum, cape gooseberry, granadilla, passion fruit, papaya, blackberry, mango, granadilla, curuba, banana , bananas, lulo, pitahaya, peach, borojó, tree tomato, mangosteen, raspberries, grapes, grapefruit, feijoa, melon, tinsel and others that escape me at the moment.

How about huh! Some fruits are not very easy to get; but there are, as for example the last one (Tinsel) with many people who I have shared the name do not know it, this is yellow with seed inside and white pulp it could be said that a flavor very similar to mangosteen but more acidic. I have only tried this in my hometown of Anolaima, Cundinamarca, which is considered the fruit capital of Colombia.

I think that this exercise made me travel back in time, remember my childhood, those smells and flavors of the fruits that we have. I have Colombian friends who live abroad and one of the things they miss the most is fruits.

If you are in Colombia, take advantage of this and if you are Colombian or live in Colombia, value and eat more fruits.
