Cartagena, the city of beautiful doors, houses of different colors, arepas, fruit vendors, magic and countless stories.

My name is Christina Salantes, I am from Australia but now I live in San Diego, Cartagena. I arrived in Colombia in May of this year and I am studying at the Spanish school, Nueva Lengua. The teachers at my school are friendly, cheerful, funny, generous, and very patient with me while I am learning Spanish. In my Spanish class I have two friends, they are from England and they are both very funny, so my time with them is always fun. It is necessary to practice Spanish with my friends and my teacher every day, because if not, it is difficult for me to travel.

During this vacation I have met many people, tourists and locals. I have visited Playa Blanca, the mangroves of La Boquilla, the Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas and many other places. And I am very excited to travel and see the rest of this country. I have traveled to many countries in my life but at this moment Colombia has my heart.
