Reason 1: The People of Colombia

I want to study Spanish in Colombia, because I want to get to know the beautiful people of Colombia. I have taught English online to many Colombians and know first hand how friendly they are and how much they love to communicate with foreigners. I have also heard that Colombians speak the best Spanish and that Colombia is the number one country in the world to to learn Spanish. Learning a language is difficult, so I want to learn from the best people that live in the best country that speak the best language (yes, I know, that last line was a little over the top, but I am speaking from my heart- Spanish is my favorite language).

Reason 2: The geography of Colombia

Colombia offers a woman like me everything I could possibly want or need in a tidy little 440,800 mi² package. I love insects, animals, reptiles, plants, the outdoors, the jungle, and the mountains. Most importantly, I love REALLY GOOD coffee. I must to learn Spanish in this amazing country that has such biodiversity. I cannot wait to drink Colombian coffee while I study Spanish!

Reason 3: Colombian Music

What better way to learn a language than through music? I want to hear some expressive Colombian music while I learn to speak the language. I want to dance and feel the energy of Salsa or Cumbia or Bambuco as it pumps through my soul.

Coming to Colombia has been a dream of mine for many years. I long to meet the people, to experience the culture, to learn the language, to eat the food, to observe the biodiversity and most importantly, to drink the best coffee right from the spot where the beans were grown.
