The month of April was a month of learning and adventures. Not only do we improve Spanish in classes, but we live magical experiences. On April 23 we celebrate the day of the language, sharing an afternoon full of Spanish literature and culture.

Some students represented writers such as Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra and Gabriel García Márquez. We made fun games where we learned more about the Spanish language.

But that was not all, we started the month tasting the palate with foods from around the world. We were lucky to try traditional Colombian food and also from countries like Thailand, Turkey, Brazil, Indonesia and Guyana. A delicious afternoon!

Visiting the Monserrate hill was also among the plans for April. We went up by cable car and we were able to contemplate the beautiful panorama of Bogotá. We did the viacrucis, visiting each station of the passion of Christ, we learned about the history and the importance for the Catholic faithful of the Sanctuary of Monserrate.

Also, we realized that many people climb the hill as part of their exercise routine. We all found it very interesting. We tried chicha, a traditional indigenous drink, and bought some handicrafts.

To continue our literary activities, we visited the Virgilio Barco library in Bogotá, apart from having a beautiful view, we walked around books and literary exhibitions. We finished the afternoon doing a children's literature activity; a fundamental tool to master the Spanish language: reading.

The Zipaquirá salt cathedral, 49 km from Bogotá, was another of our cultural activities. At 180 meters underground, we witnessed the monumental cathedral built under a mine. We walked the 14 steps of the Via Crucis de Jesús and contemplated the largest underground cross on the planet.

One of the most interesting activities in April was the International Book Fair (FILBO) whose guest country was South Korea. We had the opportunity to participate in cultural events, read and buy books, share on literary topics. It was an unforgettable literary afternoon.

To close the month with a flourish, we celebrated dancing and singing on a chiva rumbera, a typical bus from our country, enjoying a super ride through the city, arriving at the viewpoint of the municipality of La Calera. We had the opportunity to contemplate the view of the capital at night. These and many more cultural activities we live in the month of April, the month of language and many adventures.
