When I was preparing for a trip to Colombia, everyone was asking me why Colombia is a must see. After all, there are still guerrilla wars there, lots of bombs and drugs. The only thing that reassured me was that everything was ready in a week and I didn't have to listen to this nonsense for a long time. And yet my answer has always been the same: "Because Colombia is paradise." And when I arrived, I was not wrong. The bad things I heard about the country turned out not to be as bad as everyone thinks; and everything good turned out to be even more attractive. To tell the truth, I fell in love with Colombia already in the first days here, but to this day I keep falling in love more and more, discovering something new for myself. During the 4 month in Bogotá, together with the students of the school, we participated in various activities that helped us to better understand the new culture. We played tejo, we cooked, we danced, we met people from different countries, and in this way we exchanged different cultures, in addition to the culture of Colombia. Thanks to the school I overcame the language barrier and now I can speak freely with native speakers and even work; although I never imagined that. After spending so much time at school, I can say that Nueva Lengua It has become my home and everyone who works there is my family. To conclude, I want to say that, of course, there are stereotypes about any place on the planet, but it is worth discovering and experiencing it all personally. And then, perhaps, you, on the contrary, will fall in love with this place and will not want to leave. This is how it happened to me and to the country of my dreams: Colombia.
