This week, students from our Spanish School in Bogotávisited the the city’s Police Museum which is situated in the historic neighborhood of La Candelaria. The museum is located in a beautiful ancient building, erected originally in 1923.
As the name anticipate, inside you can find the history of the Colombian police from ancient times until today: weapons, uniforms, as well as the different units of the colombian police are showcased.
But not only! You can also find different possessions that have been confiscate to Pablo Escobar, such as his motorbike Harely Davison!
A very detailed guided tour provided all our spanish students with an amazing insight of the history of the Colombian Police.
Another extreamly enjoyable addition to the visit is the gorgeous view that you can admire from the terrace of the museum! A view from the top of Bogotá old district of La Candelaria, the perfect location for a top quality picture!
A visit to the Police Museum is a journey into the life of men and women that dedicated there lives to protect the country and fought on first row against the narcotraffic.
Our students truly enjoyed themself during the visit at the Museum and had the chance to gather more knowledge about the history of our beautiful Country!
This is an activity included in any of our spanish courses in Nueva Lengua. If you would like to experience it too, just refer to our website and choose any Spanish course in Bogota!
We are looking forward to seeing you here in Colombia!
