Nueva Lengua It is a school that encourages culture and social respect. Since, from multiculturalism and recognition of diversity, it expresses understanding, development and human coexistence.

That is why, by demonstrating the culture and customs of our Colombian territory, we try to generate contrasts between the cultural vision of our students with the traditions of some Spanish-speaking places; but above all from Colombian territory.

Usually, when we talk about Latin Americans we think of multiculturalism, gastronomy, customs, among other issues of diversity. And yes, these are many of our most representative characteristics. That somehow identify us; with joy, spontaneity, welcoming, charismatic, energetic and positive.

Cultural diversity is one of the most significant and notorious assets of the academic environment of Nueva Lengua Colombia. Where otherness is a functional tool for communication and understanding of different communicative contexts.

This is how we met Ellen Catarina Antão. Since, by sharing with us in our immersion group classes in Nueva Lengua Bogotá, expressed his opinions, social ideas and skills as a professional. All of the above submerged on respect and tolerance.

Ellen, shared her experiences in Brazil with us; where she naturally comes from. And she made different contrasts about Colombia. Because, despite the fact that we share many cultural, phonetic and historical branches. She says that it is always important to know the history and of our neighboring countries.

Professionally, he mentions that it is significant to know one of the most important languages in the world, since it is the second most widely spoken language in the world and at work, it provides a tool to expand his network of colleagues and opportunities.

Answer Ellen about the question What is the relationship between your work and learning Spanish?; “I work in an energy company and I buy electrical materials. The importance is very great. I need to learn Spanish because the company that runs my business is Spanish.”

On the other hand, for Antão's personal life it is very important to study Spanish as it offers him more options to get to know different parts of the world with this language. Express; “By studying Spanish I will be able to travel throughout Latin America and I will be able to learn everything I can, such as expressions and culture”

Ellen expresses that, in Colombia, people are very kind and willing to help. What did you learn many expressions in our school Nueva Lengua like “Que chévere, que chimba, Enguayabado” In addition to dancing in dance classes and having fun in different contexts.

It is for this and more reasons that Nueva Lengua It is an important option to study Spanish, get to know the culture and do tourism in the different cities where we are; Bogota, Medellin, Ibagué and Cartagena.
