Taste memory plays an important role in learning Spanish. An excellent opportunity to share about the exotic flavors of the different regions of the country. Also, to learn about the gastronomy of the foreigners who visit us.
En Nueva LenguaIn addition to the academic program to learn Spanish, tested with success in thousands of students, we strive to make the stay of our students fun at all times.
We propose, as a principle, to be that hospitable family that welcomes you during your stay. Our activities, therefore, are designed to be fun, constructive, and highly learnable.
We also take advantage of this opportunity to make Colombia, its people, its customs, culture and some of its history known.
ENJOY
One of the activities designed for this purpose is to taste and learn about exquisite dishes and unique foods from our land.
Our gastronomy is varied in fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, seafood and legumes, which serve to make foreign tourists fall in love with them, who take unforgettable flavors back home and help them fulfill the objective of speaking and understanding Spanish.
One of the activities that our students remember the most is the gastronomic sample and the shared lunch that we carry out in all our campuses, periodically.
For many it will be the farewell and the end of their course, while for others it is just the beginning and the welcome.
Without a doubt, an unforgettable and multicultural experience.
ACTIVITY
As it is a sample, the idea is that the assistants share, enjoy and taste foods from Colombia, but also dishes from the cuisine of their countries of origin.

PARTICIPANTS
In the most recent activity at our headquarters in Bogotá, students from Switzerland, the United States, New Zealand, Denmark, Australia, Germany, France and Brazil, shared meals from their countries of origin and, of course, Colombian.
As everything was on the table, the order did not matter, but the entrance was in charge of Colombia with an exquisite sample of some of the most exotic fruits of our country: mamoncillos, cape gooseberries, lulos, kiwis and granadillas won many accolades among the diners.
Then the main course, represented the countries that had a representative.
Among many things, it was: a crepe and French bread, along with a piece of Swiss seasoned bread.
For Colombia we were represented by the tamale and the arepa Boyacense. From the United States came Texas burgers, mashed potatoes, meat muffins or salty cupcakes. Of course, all accompanied by an excellent Swiss potato salad with vegetables.
From Germany we ate a Schrittchen, which is a sandwich of cereal bread, cheese, butter, ham, salami, cucumber and tomato. There was also Danish Frikadeller, which is a kind of pork meatball with garlic and for dessert there were panelitas and Colombian sandwiches.
It was a long lunch, accompanied by laughter, explanations, delight, and learning. And an opportunity for the integration of our teachers Javier, Maricela, Natalia, Marcela, Carlos and Iván in an exchange of food and joy with the Brazilians Hermano Dumont and Lucas Silva; the Swiss Stefanny Muehleman, Marcel Jud and Tania Fakhry; the American family made up of Wako Moore, Mila Goldmande and the little 10-year-old Jette Moore, who had the most fun eating fruit; the New Zealander Maud Moreau; the Danish Jacob Balling and the Germans Claudia Schulte and Patricia Sloye.
All the articles in this blog have been written by the teachers of our school and by students from different countries who traveled to Colombia to learn Spanish.
