The cultural diversity in our school is one of the most significant and notorious assets of the academic environment of Nueva Lengua Colombia. However, knowing their stories, we understand that there are different objectives to learn Spanish as a foreign language.

Many of them come from countries far away from Colombia, which indicates that we have greater growth in cultural experiences such as; food, customs, clothing and worldviews.

Likewise, students express that their intentions, in some cases, are touristic, personal, loving and even work.

This is the case of our student Recep Topbas, who comes from Turkey at the age of 28. which has as a profession commercial advisor, executing the work of sales manager throughout Latin America in a company that produces water pumps.

Likewise, Topbas tells us that learning Spanish has been an indispensable tool to expand the sales field of the company to which it belongs; “The relationship between my work and learning Spanish is that Spanish is the language with the largest number of speakers in South American countries. Also, in this area there are not many people who cannot speak English since Spanish is the only language that people speak here so I have to learn Spanish to negotiate with businessmen.” "I came to Colombia to improve my Spanish and speak fluently. Also, to meet her.”

That, in the same way, it has significantly influenced his personal experiences when learning Spanish, he mentions; “In my personal life, I have met many different people and cultures that I have and I have traveled to many different countries and tried new flavors that I had never known before.”

However, like any other foreign language, it has some structures that are different from our mother tongue, such is the case of Spanish, as Recep has indicated that in some cases it is difficult to learn the language, but it is a challenge like any personal goal and labor that we propose; “Really, there is no subjunctive tense in the languages I know, so I still don't fully understand this subject, but now I understand it easier than before.” "I think that Spanish is more difficult for me because my mother tongue is Turkish, but if we talk about grammar, Turkish does not have as many rules as Spanish and it has fewer tenses than Spanish.” Although there are distinctions, it also offers us a relationship between his mother tongue and Spanish; "It seems to me that there is no relationship between the two languages, only these languages use the same letters, nothing more."

He also answers the following ¿Do you want to continue studying Spanish?? “Yes, of course I want to continue learning, I love this language. Plus, it's required for my job.”

Recep, share your perspective on what you liked about learning Spanish at our school Nueva Lengua; "With Spanish, each person can travel from Argentina to the United States. Throughout the world there are more than five hundred million people who speak Spanish. Which allows me to know more people or cultures.” In the same way, he tells us about his experience and some things that he liked about Colombia, specifically about his gastronomy; “What I liked the most in Colombia is the salpicón and the passion fruit juice.”

All of the above, Nueva Lengua is one of the best options to learn Spanish in context. Taking into account the needs you have; professional, personal or tourist.
