Julia Tiko was born in Japan and like all Japanese she is proud of Mount Fuji. In the same way, she also feels a lot of pride and respect for her parents. Her father was a fisherman and her mother had a fish market where fresh fish was sold.

From the age of 18 she worked in an old Japanese company where women worked inside and men outside and she made sales from the office. She says she was an excellent cosmetics saleswoman so she was appointed to teach other employees.

In 1980 the Japanese economy struggled and the job was done; For a single mother, not having a job was very difficult, but having problems discovered that it was an opportunity to start a new life. Then at age 52 she began her career at the university, she chose a course at the Faculty of Pedagogy for Lifelong Studies, with her 18-year-old classmates she learned to have fun and to enjoy life more, in the end she obtained her degree in teacher of Fine arts. She worked with the students in a children's playground on the campus of the university called “Tanukimura”, where she later became director and dedicated herself to that position for 6 years. Later he worked in the administrative part of the university, where he worked for 13 years. At that time he was already 72 years old and he went to Yuguwara, a small and quiet sanctuary, surrounded by mountains, sea and hot springs; and he asked himself the following question: “How to live the remaining 30 years of life given by God? Since the life expectancy in Japan is 100 years. "

"Humans have the ability to challenge yourself until they die ”and that's why she's experimenting with it, she says. "I want to use the life that God gave me for Peace"; His motto is that each one has the ability to be brave and his way of living is: "Take my age and defy adventure"

In 2018 he traveled to Buenos Aires to learn tango, he fell in love with the people and the city. Unfortunately, she couldn't fall in love with a porteño because she couldn't speak Spanish.

Now he is in Colombia and his new challenge is to learn Spanish from scratch, since next year the Olympic Games are held in Japan and he wants to be an interpreter. "I believe that life is a gift from God and should not be wasted", "I am very brave, but if I am afraid I cannot move forward", that is why he says that the time has come to fulfill the dream of learn Spanish.

He is going to be in Colombia for six months, and they have also told him that the Spanish from Colombia is beautiful and wants to fall in love with the Colombian people, as well as its beautiful cities. She wants to meet this challenge of learning Spanish, because she wants to be a model for young people, in a society of longevity such as Japan.
