Colombia, a country located in the north of South America, offers a great cultural diversity, for its people, and natural, for all its variety in ecosystems and landscapes. This country has faced great social and political changes throughout the last century that have increased its historical value. For this reason, Colombians have made an effort to offer a better service to all tourists interested in exploring it.
USTOA, the United States Tour Operators Association, has recognized Colombia as one of the main destinations for 2020. This international recognition guarantees the best experience for travelers who have Colombia as a destination among their plans. Likewise, the experience of many foreigners allows us to recognize some reasons to visit it in 2020. Several people have affirmed that they come to Colombia in search of the best sunset from a National Natural Park, to eat many cheap fruits and taste dishes in different regions, learn to dance salsa and celebrate various festivals, learn Spanish, because Colombians have a clear accent and help people who want to learn, among other reasons.
However, you cannot explore Colombia without knowing Spanish, since most people do not speak another language. Spanish, according to Piédrola, Artacho, and Villaseca (2016), is a tourist resource because it is currently the second language of international communication, and can allow interested parties to visit many Hispanic countries and complete the experience with communication with locals and understanding of all the information you find in the country.
For these reasons, the school of spanish and tourism Nueva Lengua One of its objectives is to promote the learning of Spanish along with a cultural experience in Colombia. Each of the classes presents a communicative objective that will allow students to use the language to travel or live in any city in Colombia or Hispanic country. For example, ask basic questions to get to know a person, order at a restaurant, give recommendations for traveling economically, etc. Also, the cultural activities offered by the school allow students to complement their learning because they must use the language to participate in them. Among these, there is a visit to a market place to buy fruits and vegetables, participate in a tour in a coffee farm and interact with the guide, spend a weekend in a Spanish Weekend Immersion, among other activities.
If you want to explore Colombia and its Colombian culture, do not hesitate to enroll in any of the school spanish courses Nueva Lengua in one of its three cities (Bogotá, Cartagena or Medellín). For more information, send an email to info@nuevalengua.com
