Prayer for every day

Most gracious God of infinite charity, who so loved men that you gave them in your Son the best pledge of your love, that, made man in the womb of a Virgin, he might be born in a manger for our health and remedy; I, in the name of all mortals, give you infinite thanks for so sovereign a benefit. In return I offer you the poverty, humility, and other virtues of your humanized Son, imploring you by his divine merits, by the hardships with which he was born, and by the tender tears he shed in the manger, that you dispose our hearts with profound humility, with burning love, with such contempt for all earthly things, that Jesus, the newborn, may have his cradle in them and dwell eternally. Amen.

The contemplation of the day continues.

Sovereign Mary, because of your great virtues and especially because of your humility, you deserved that a whole God should choose you as his mother: I beg you to prepare and dispose my soul and that of all who make this novena at this time, for the spiritual birth of your adored Son. Communicate to me something of the profound recollection and divine tenderness with which you awaited him, so that you may make us less unworthy of seeing him, loving him and adoring him for all eternity. Prayer to the Child Jesus

(For everyday)

Remember, O sweetest Infant Jesus, that You spoke to the venerable Margaret of the Blessed Sacrament, and in her person to all Your devotees, these words which are so consoling for our poor, oppressed and suffering humanity: “Whatever you wish to ask, ask for it through the merits of my infancy, and nothing will be denied you.” We come, full of confidence in You, O Jesus, who are Truth itself, to expose to You all our misery. Help us to lead a holy life, so that we may attain a blessed eternity. Grant us, through the merits of Your incarnation and Your infancy, the grace of which we so greatly need. We entrust ourselves to You, O omnipotent Child, certain that our hope will not be disappointed, and that, in virtue of Your divine promise, You will accept and favorably dispatch our supplication. Amen.

Considerations for every day

First day

CONSIDERATION

In the beginning of time the Word rested in the bosom of his Father, in the highest heavens; there he was the cause as well as the model of all creation. In those depths of an incalculable eternity the Child of Bethlehem remained. It is there that we must seek his beginnings that have never begun; from there we must date the genealogy of the Eternal One, who has no ancestors, and contemplate the life of infinite complacency that he led there. The life of the Eternal Word in the bosom of his Father was a marvelous life, and yet, sublime mystery, he seeks another abode: a created mansion. It was not because in his eternal mansion something was lacking for his infinite happiness, but because his infinite mercy longed for the redemption and salvation of the human race, which without Him could not be accomplished. Adam's sin had offended a God and that infinite offense could not be pardoned except by the merits of God himself. Adam's race had disobeyed and deserved eternal punishment; It was therefore necessary to save her and satisfy her guilt that God, without leaving heaven, take the form of man on earth and with obedience to the designs of his Father, atone for that disobedience, ingratitude and rebellion. It was necessary in the sights of his love that he take the form, the unconscious weaknesses and ignorance of childhood, to atone for the systematic weaknesses and ignorance of man; that he grow in order to give him spiritual growth; that he suffer, in order to teach him to die to his passions and his pride and for that reason the Eternal Word burning with desire to save man resolved to become man too and thus redeem the guilty one.

Second Day

CONSIDERATION

The eternal Word is about to take on His created nature in the holy house of Nazareth, where Mary and Joseph lived. When the shadow of the divine decree came to slide over her, Mary was alone and immersed in prayer. She spent the silent hours of the night in the closest union with God; and while she was praying, the Word took possession of His created dwelling. However, He did not arrive unexpectedly: before presenting Himself, He sent a messenger, who was the Archangel Saint Gabriel, to ask Mary on behalf of God for her consent to the incarnation. The creator did not want to carry out this great mystery without the acquiescence of His creature. That moment was very solemn: it was within Mary's power to refuse... With what adorable delight, with what ineffable complacency the Most Holy One would await
Trinidad to Mary to open her lips and pronounce the “yes” that must have been a sweet melody to her ears, and with which her profound humility conformed to the omnipotent divine will.

The Immaculate Virgin has given her consent. The archangel has disappeared. God has clothed himself with a created nature; the eternal will is fulfilled.
and the whole creation. In the regions of the angelic world, immense joy broke out, but the Virgin Mary neither heard nor would have paid attention to it.
His head was bowed and his soul was immersed in the silence that resembled that of God. The Word had become flesh, and although still invisible to the world, he already lived among the men whom his immense love had come to rescue. He was no longer just the eternal Word, he was the Child Jesus clothed in human appearance, and already justifying the praise that all generations have given him in calling him the most beautiful of the sons of men.

third day

CONSIDERATION

Thus the Child Jesus had begun his incarnate life. Let us consider the glorious soul and holy body that he had taken, adoring them deeply.
Admiring in the first place the soul of that Divine Child, we consider in it the fullness of his sanctifying grace; that of his beatific science, for which reason
From the first moment of his life he saw the divine essence more clearly than all the angels and read the past and the future with all his arcane knowledge. He knew nothing by acquisition that he did not know by infusion from the first moment of his being; but He adopted all the illnesses of our
nature to which he could worthily submit, even though it was not necessary for the great work he had to accomplish. Let us ask him that his divine faculties
May they supply the weakness of ours and give them new energy; may their memory teach us to remember His benefits, their understanding to think of Him, their will to do nothing but what He wants and in His service.

From the soul of the Child Jesus we now move on to his body, which was a world of wonders, a masterpiece of
the hand of God. It was not, like ours, a fetter on the soul; it was, on the contrary, a new element of holiness. He wanted it to be small and weak like the
of children, and subject to all the discomforts of childhood, to become more like us and share in our humiliations. The Holy Spirit formed that little divine body with such delicacy and such capacity for feeling, that it could suffer excess in order to accomplish the great work of our redemption. The beauty of that
divine body was superior to anything ever imagined; the divine blood that began to circulate through his veins from the moment of the incarnation is what
wash away all the stains of the guilty world. Let us ask him to wash away ours in the sacrament of penance, so that on the day of his Christmas he may find us
purified, forgiven and ready to receive Him with love and spiritual benefit.

fourth day

CONSIDERATION

From his mother's womb the Child Jesus began to put into practice his complete submission to God, which continued without the slightest interruption throughout his life. He adored his Eternal Father, he loved him, he submitted to his will, he accepted with resignation the state in which he found himself, knowing all his weakness, ...
humiliation, all its inconveniences. Who among us would wish to return to such a state with the full enjoyment of reason and reflection? Who could knowingly endure such a prolonged martyrdom, so painful in every way? It was in this way that the Divine Child entered into his painful and humble career; thus he began to humble himself before his Father, to teach us what God deserves from his creature, to atone for our pride, the origin of all our sins, and to make us feel all the criminality and disorders of pride.

We wish to make a true prayer; let us begin by forming an exact idea of it by contemplating the Child in His mother's womb. The Divine Child prays and prays in the most excellent manner. He does not speak, meditate, or lose himself in tender affections. His very state, accepted with the intention of honoring God, is His prayer, and this state highly expresses all that God deserves and how He wants to be adored by us.

Let us join in the prayers of the Child God in the womb of Mary; let us join in the profound anguish, and let this be the first affection of our sacrifice to God. Let us give ourselves to God, not to be something, as our vanity continually claims, but to be nothing, to be eternally consumed and annihilated, to renounce the stimulation of ourselves, all concern for our greatness, even if it be spiritual, all movement of vainglory. Let us disappear in our own eyes and let God alone be everything to us.

Fifth Day

CONSIDERATION

We have already seen the life that the Child Jesus led in the womb of his most pure Mother; let us now look at the whole life that Mary also led during the same period of time. We need to do without her today if we wish to understand, as far as our limited capacity allows, the sublime mysteries of the incarnation and how we must respond to them.

Mary did not cease to aspire for the moment when she would enjoy that beatific terrestrial vision; the face of God incarnate. I was about to see that human face
which was to light up the sky for all eternity. I was going to read filial love in those very eyes whose rays were to spread happiness forever.
millions of chosen ones. I was going to see that face every day, every hour, every moment, for many years. I was going to see it in the apparent ignorance of childhood, in the peculiar charms of youth, and in the reflective serenity of mature age… I would do whatever I wanted with that divine face; I could hold it close
against hers with all the freedom of maternal love; to cover with kisses the lips that should pronounce the sentence to all men; to contemplate her in her
pleasure during her sleep or while awake, until she had learned it by heart...how ardently she longed for that day!

Such was Mary's expectation...it was unprecedented in itself, but it did not cease to be the magnificent type of the entire Christian life. Let us not be content with
to admire Jesus residing in Mary, but for his essence, power and presence.

Yes, Jesus is continually born in us and from us, through the good works that He enables us to accomplish and through our cooperation with grace; so that the soul of the one who is in grace is a perpetual womb of Mary, an interior Bethlehem without end. After Communion, Jesus dwells in us, for a few moments, really and substantially as God and as man, because the same Child who was in Mary is also in the Blessed Sacrament. What is all this but a participation in the life of Mary during those wonderful months, and an expectation full of delights like hers.

Day six

CONSIDERATION

Jesus had been conceived in Nazareth, the home of Joseph and Mary, and it was believed that he would be born there, according to all probability. But God had planned otherwise and the prophets had announced that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem in Judah, the city of David. In order to fulfill this prediction, God made use of a means that did not seem to have any connection with this object, namely the order given by the Emperor Augustus that all subjects of the Roman Empire should be registered in the place where they were from. Mary and Joseph, as descendants of David, were not exempt from going to Bethlehem. Neither the situation of the Blessed Virgin nor the need for Joseph to work daily to ensure their subsistence could exempt them from this long and arduous journey, in the most rigorous and uncomfortable season of the year.

Jesus is not unaware of the place in which He must be born, and He inspires His parents to give themselves over to Providence, and thus unconsciously to assist in the execution of His designs. Interior souls, observe this handling of the Divine Child, for it is the most important part of the spiritual life. Learn that he who has given himself over to God must no longer belong to himself, nor must he want at every moment anything but what God wants for him, following Him blindly even in external things, such as changing his place wherever He pleases to lead him. You will have occasion to observe this dependence and inviolable fidelity throughout the life of Jesus Christ, and this is the point on which the saints and truly interior souls have striven to imitate Him, renouncing absolutely their own will.

day seven

CONSIDERATION

Let us imagine the journey of Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem, carrying with them, as yet unborn, the Creator of the universe made man. Let us contemplate the humanity and obedience of this Divine Child who, although of Jewish race and having loved his people for centuries with an inexplicable predilection, thus obeys a foreign prince who is taking the census of the population of his province, as if there were something flattering in this circumstance for Him, and He wanted to hasten to take advantage of the opportunity to be officially and authentically registered as a subject at the moment when He was coming into the world. Is it not strange that humiliation, which causes such invincible repugnance to the creature, seems to be the only created thing that has attractions for the Creator? Does not the humility of Jesus teach us to love this beautiful virtue?

Ah! May the moment come when the one desired by the nations appear, for everything cries out for this happy event. The world, plunged in darkness and unrest, seeking and not finding relief from its ills, longs for its Liberator. The longing of Joseph, the expectation of Mary, are things that human language cannot express. The Eternal Father is, if it is permissible to use this expression, adorably impatient to give his only Son to the world, and to see him take his place among visible creatures. The Holy Spirit burns with desire to present to the light of day this holy and beautiful humanity that He Himself has formed with such special and divine care. As for the Divine Child, the object of so many longings, let us remember that He advances towards us as He did towards Bethlehem. Let us hasten with our desire the moment of His arrival; let us purify our souls so that they may be His mystical dwelling, and our hearts so that they may be His earthly Manis; May our acts of mortification and detachment “prepare the ways of the Lord and make his paths straight.”

Eighth Day

CONSIDERATION

Joseph and Mary came to Bethlehem, seeking lodging in the inns, but they found none, either because everything was occupied or because they were rejected on account of their poverty. But this can disturb the inner peace of those who are fixed on God. If Joseph was surprised when he was rejected from house to house, because he thought of Mary and the Child, he smiled with equal tranquility when he fixed his gaze on his chaste wife. The unborn child rejoiced at these refusals which were the prelude to his coming humiliations. Every harsh voice, every door shut against them, was what he had come to seek. The desire for these humiliations was what had contributed to making him take human form.

Oh divine Child of Bethlehem! These days which so many have spent in festivities and amusements or in comfortable and rich mansions, have been for your parents a day of fatigue and vexations of every kind. Alas! The spirit of Bethlehem is that of a world that has forgotten God. How often has it not been ours too! Do we not continually close with rude ignorance the door to the calls of God, who asks us to convert ourselves, or to sanctify ourselves, or to be converted?
conform to his will? Do we not misuse our sufferings, ignoring the heavenly character with which each one of us in his own way carries it engraved within us?
God comes to us many times in life, but we do not know his face, or recognize him until he turns his back on us and walks away after our refusal.

The sun of December 24th sets behind the roofs of Bethlehem and its last rays gild the peaks of the steep rocks that surround it. Rude men roughly nudge the Lord in the streets of that eastern village, and close their doors at the sight of his mother. The vault of heaven appears purple above those hills frequented by shepherds. The stars appear one after another. A few more hours and the eternal Word will appear.

day ninth

CONSIDERATION

Night has fallen on the countryside of Bethlehem. Discarded by men and finding themselves without shelter, Mary and Joseph have left the inhospitable town and have taken refuge in a cave at the foot of the hill. The Queen of the Angels was followed by the donkey that had served as her humble mount during the journey, and in that cave they found a gentle ox, probably left there by one of the travelers who had gone to look for her.
accommodation in the city.

The Divine Child, unknown to his rational creatures, will have to turn to the irrational ones so that they can warm with their warm breath the frozen atmosphere of that winter night, and manifest to him with this and with their humble attitude, the respect and adoration that Bethlehem had denied him. The reddish lantern that Joseph has
In her hand she dimly illuminates that very poor place, that manger full of straw that is a prophetic figure of the wonders of the altar, and of the intimate and prodigious Eucharistic union that Jesus will contract with men. Mary is in prayer in the middle of the grotto, and thus the hours of that night full of mystery pass silently.

But midnight has come, and suddenly we see within that manger, which had been empty a short time before, the divine Child, awaited, prophesied, desired for four thousand years with ineffable longing. At his feet prostrates his Most Holy Mother, in the transports of an adoration of which nothing can give an idea. Joseph also approaches and pays her the homage with which he inaugurates his mysterious and imponderable office of adoptive father of the Redeemer of men. The multitude of angels who descend from heaven to contemplate this incomparable wonder, let their joy burst forth and make the harmonies of that Gloria in Excelsis which is the Eucharist vibrate in the air.
echo of the worship that takes place around the Most High, made perceptible for an instant to the ears of the poor Earth. Summoned by them, they come in
The shepherds of the region flock to worship the newborn and present their humble offerings. The mysterious star of Jacob is already shining in the east, and
The splendid caravan of the Three Wise Men sets off for Bethlehem, who in a few days will come to place at the feet of the Divine Child the gold, the
incense, and myrrh, which are symbols of charity, worship and mortification.

O beloved Child! We too, who have made this novena to prepare for your Christmas, wish to offer you our humble adoration. Do not reject it! Come into our souls, come into our hearts full of love! Enkindle in them a devotion to your holy childhood, not intermittently and only limited to the time of your Christmas, but always and at all times; a devotion that, faithfully practiced and zealously propagated,
lead us to eternal life, freeing us from sin and sowing in us all the Christian virtues.

Getting to know Christmas

What is the Novena?

Making a novena is praying for nine days for some intention and/or to prepare for a big feast. It can be nine consecutive days, but also nine instances on the same day or nine Fridays, for example.

What is its origin?

After the Thursday of Jesus' Ascension, the first novena began. It was the time of persevering prayer that Mary and the Apostles lived in the Cenacle of Jerusalem awaiting the coming of the Holy Spirit, on the feast of Pentecost. The Christmas Novena is the novena that we perform to prepare for the birth of Jesus Christ. We prepare because we want Jesus to live and reign in our hearts. Intention for each day: It is highly recommended that at the beginning of the novena you remember or choose one or more intentions for which to pray during the novena. It is important to remember Jesus' promise: “I assure you that if two of you join together on earth to ask for anything, my Father who is in heaven will do it for you.” (Matthew 18:19)

Christmas

How can I live today this event so far away in time? How can I participate fruitfully in the birth of the Son of God, which took place more than two thousand years ago? In the Holy Mass of Christmas Eve, we will repeat as a refrain of the Responsorial Psalm these words: “Today a Saviour is born to us.” This adverb of time, “today,” appears frequently in all Christmas celebrations and refers to the event of the birth of Jesus and to the salvation that the Incarnation of the Son of God brings. In the liturgy, this event transcends the limits of space and time, and becomes current, present; its effect endures, despite the passing of days, years and centuries. In indicating that Jesus is born “today,” the liturgy does not use a meaningless phrase, but rather underlines that this Birth affects and permeates all of history; it remains a reality today as well, which we can reach precisely in the liturgy. For us believers, the celebration of Christmas renews the certainty that God is truly present with us, still “flesh” and not just distant: even though he is with the Father, he is close to us. In that Child born in Bethlehem, God came close to man: we can encounter him now, in a “today” that has no end.

The Nativity Scene

Making a Nativity scene is a very special and fun tradition. It is set up in our homes, schools, at work, and even in hospitals, shopping malls, and town and city squares. The Nativity scene reminds us that God is close to all of us. From a young age, when our parents and grandparents teach us how to make a Nativity scene, we learn that this tradition has a deep and special meaning. I hope this custom never gets lost! On the contrary, every year it grows in more places and hearts. Thus, if it has been forgotten somewhere, we will be able to rediscover it and live it with more strength and joy. This Christmas, let us make the most beautiful Nativity scene for God in our hearts.

The Christmas Tree:

A symbol of Faith, Light and Hope

The Christmas tree is much more than an ornament; it is a symbol loaded with deep meanings that invites us to reflect on light, friendship and reconciliation. According to Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, this tree reminds us that God is our friend and, therefore, we are brothers to each other. In a world that often faces hostility and division, the Christmas tree encourages us to strengthen our friendship and bring light to every corner of the world. The pine, which is often the chosen tree, has a special meaning: its green color stays alive even in winter, when snow covers everything around it. This symbolizes life that does not die, a sign of hope that reminds us that God's grace remains constant, even in the coldest and most difficult moments of life. This message inspires us to make our life a gift, not only through material things, but also through sincere friendship, affection, fraternal help and forgiveness. Every time we turn on the lights on the tree and in the manger in our homes, we open our hearts to the true spiritual light that the Savior brings to all men and women of good will. This simple gesture reminds us that the birth of Jesus transforms the world and calls us to live in unity, love and peace.

At a time when the true Christian meaning of Christmas is forgotten, the Nativity scene and the tree become a living testimony of our faith. They invite us to transmit to the new generations the values of the traditions that are part of our family and our beliefs. Thus, when we prepare our homes and hearts, we remember that the Christmas tree is a constant reminder of the light and goodness of God, who accompanies us and invites us to live loving and serving others. May this tree, a symbol of hope and friendship, inspire us to live with joy the spirit of Christmas, to share our light with those around us and to celebrate with gratitude the birth of the Savior.

What is Advent and
Advent wreath?

Advent is a time of spiritual preparation for Christmas. During these weeks, we are invited to pause in the midst of our daily routine and prepare our hearts for the coming of Jesus. It is a time to strengthen our relationship with God, practice kindness, and fill our lives with peace and joy.

The Advent Wreath and its meaning

The Advent Wreath is not just a decoration, it is a spiritual guide that helps us live this time with purpose and reflection. It is made up of a circle of green branches that symbolizes God's eternal love and hope in eternal life. Five candles are placed on the wreath: four around it, which are lit every Sunday before Christmas, and a central one, which is lit on Christmas Day, representing the arrival of Jesus as the light of the world. This progressive lighting symbolizes how the light of Christ grows in our lives and fills us with hope. A Time to Reflect Advent invites us to reflect on how Jesus illuminates our lives with his love, to live our faith with joy and to grow in goodness and hope. Each candle lit is a reminder that each day brings us closer to the great gift of Christmas: the birth of Christ. Let us light the candles, reflect and live this time with love, hope and gratitude.

The Blessed Virgin Mary

Mary is a mother who looks lovingly at her Son and shows him to all who come to know him. Her image reminds us of the great mystery that enveloped this young woman when God knocked at the door of her immaculate heart. When the angel announced to her that she would be the mother of God, Mary responded with total obedience and trust. Her words: “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be done to me according to your word” (Lk 1,38:2,5), are an example for all of us of how to trust and accept God’s will. With that “yes,” Mary became the mother of the Son of God, preserving her purity and consecrating it to Him. In her we see the Mother of God, who does not keep her Son for herself alone, but invites everyone to listen to and follow his teachings (cf. Jn XNUMX:XNUMX).

Saint Joseph Saint Joseph

He is usually depicted with a staff in his hand and sometimes also holding a lamp. Saint Joseph plays a very important role in the life of Jesus and Mary. He is the guardian who never tires of protecting his family. When God warned him of the threat posed by Herod, he did not hesitate to set out and emigrate to Egypt (cf. Mt 2,13:15-XNUMX). And once the danger had passed, he brought his family back to Nazareth, where he was the first educator of Jesus as a child and adolescent. Joseph carried in his heart the great mystery that surrounded Jesus and Mary his wife, and as a just man he always trusted in the will of God and put it into practice.

Los Reyes Magos

The Magi teach us that we can start from very far away to reach Christ. They are rich men, wise foreigners, thirsty for the infinite, who set out on a long and dangerous journey that takes them to Bethlehem (cf. Mt 2,1:12-XNUMX). They are filled with great joy before the Child King. They are not scandalized by the poverty of their surroundings; they do not hesitate to kneel down and adore him. Before him, they understand that God, just as he regulates the course of the stars with sovereign wisdom, guides the course of history, lowering the powerful and exalting the humble. And certainly, when they arrived in their country, they would have recounted this surprising encounter with the Messiah, inaugurating the journey of the Gospel among the people. The Magi, observing the star, those wise and rich gentlemen from the East had set out for Bethlehem to meet Jesus and offer him gifts: gold, incense and myrrh. These gifts also have an allegorical meaning: gold honours the royalty of Jesus; the incense his divinity; the myrrh his holy humanity that will know death and burial. Contemplating this scene in the Nativity scene, we are called to reflect on the responsibility that every Christian has to be an evangelizer. Each one of us becomes a bearer of the Good News to those we meet, bearing witness with concrete actions of mercy to the joy of having encountered Jesus and his love.

The pastors

“Now when the angels had departed into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, ‘Let us go to Bethlehem and see this thing which has happened, which the Lord has told us. ’ They ran and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in the manger” (Lk 2,15:1,39ff.). The shepherds ran. In a similar way, the Evangelist had recounted that Mary, after the angel had told her of the pregnancy of her relative Elizabeth, had set out “in haste” to the city of Judea where Zechariah and Elizabeth lived (cf. Lk XNUMX:XNUMX). The shepherds ran, no doubt also out of human curiosity, in order to see the great thing that had been announced to them, but no doubt at the same time they were encouraged by the joy that now the Savior, the Messiah, the Lord, whom everyone was waiting for, had really been born and whom they were being granted to see for the first time. What Christians are in a hurry today when it comes to the things of God? If there is anything that deserves haste—so the evangelist seems to tell us tacitly—it is the things of God.

The angels singing

The angel of the Lord appeared among the shepherds, and the light of the Lord enveloped them. They were filled with fear, but the angel reassured them and announced to them: “A great joy for all the people: today in the city of David a Savior has been born to you, the Messiah, the Lord” (Luke 2,10:2,12ff.). They were told that they would find as a sign a child wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger. And, “Suddenly, around the angel there appeared a legion of the heavenly host praising God and saying: ‘Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men with whom he is pleased’” (Luke 14:XNUMX-XNUMX). The evangelist points out that the angels “say.” It is clear to Christianity that the words of the angels are a song, in which all the brilliance of the great joy they announce is perceptible. And so, the song of praise of the angels has not been silenced since that hour. This song continues through the centuries in ever new forms and resounds again and again in the celebration of the birth of Jesus. It is easy to understand that the simple faithful people heard the shepherds sing it afterwards and that, to this day, they sing its melodies on Christmas Eve and express with their song the great joy that has been given to us from then until the end of time.

God child

The Child Jesus, true God, is thus presented in a child who can be welcomed into our arms. In weakness and fragility he hides his power that creates and transforms everything. It seems impossible, but it is so: in Jesus, God was a child and in this condition he wanted to reveal the greatness of his love, which is manifested in his smile and in his outstretched hands towards everyone. The birth of a child inspires joy and wonder, because it places us before the great mystery of life. Seeing the eyes of the spouses shine before their children, we understand the feelings of Mary and Joseph who, looking at the child Jesus, perceived the presence of God in their lives.

If they see me, if they see me, I'm on my way to Bethlehem

With my four-wheeler, I go singing, my donkey goes trotting
With my four-wheeled car I go singing, my little donkey goes trotting
If they see me, if they see me, I'm on my way to Bethlehem
If they see me, if they see me, I'm on my way to Bethlehem

Tuki tuki tuki tuki, tuki tuki tuki ta
Hurry up, my little donkey, we're almost there.
Tuki tuki tuki tuki, tuki tuki tuki tu
Hurry up, my little donkey, let's go see Jesus

With my donkey from the savannah, I'm on my way to Bethlehem

Bell over Bell

Bell over Bell
And on a bell one
Get close to the window
You will see the child in the crib

Bethlehem, bells of Bethlehem
Let the angels touch
What news do you bring us?

Gathered your flock
Where are you going, little shepherd?
I'm going to take you to the portal
Cottage cheese, butter and wine

Bethlehem, bells of Bethlehem
Let the angels touch
What news do you bring us?

Bell over Bell
And on bell two
Get close to the window
Because God is being born

Bethlehem, bells of Bethlehem
Let the angels touch
What news do you bring us?

Walking at midnight
Where are you walking, shepherd?
I bring the child who is born
Like God my heart

Bethlehem, bells of Bethlehem
Let the angels touch
What news do you bring us?

Bell over Bell
And on a bell one
Get close to the window
You will see the child in the crib

Bethlehem, bells of Bethlehem
Let the angels touch
What news do you bring us?

Gathered your flock
Where are you going, little shepherd?
I'm going to take you to the portal
Cottage cheese, butter and wine

Bethlehem, bells of Bethlehem
Let the angels touch
What news do you bring us?

The drummer

(The Little Drummer Boy)

The road that leads to Bethlehem
Go down to the valley that the snow covered
The shepherds want to see their king
They bring him gifts in his humble bag
Ropoponpon, ropoponpon
He was born in a Bethlehem portal
The child God

I would like to put at your feet
Any present that pleases you, Lord
But you already know that I am poor too.
And I only have an old drum
Ropoponpon, ropoponponpon
In your honor I will play in front of the portal
With my drum

The road that leads to Bethlehem
I'm marking with my old drum
There is nothing better that I can offer you.
His hoarse accent is a song of love
Ropoponpon, ropoponpon
When God saw me playing before him
He smiled at me

Towards Bethlehem goes a donkey, rin, rin

Towards Bethlehem goes a donkey, rin, rin
I patched myself up, I patched myself up
I put a patch on myself, I took it off
Loaded with chocolate

He carries in his chocolate pot, rin, rin
I patched myself up, I patched myself up
I put a patch on myself, I took it off
Your grinder and your brazier

Maria, Maria, come here running
They are eating the chocolate
Maria, Maria, come here running
They are eating the chocolate

In the portal of Bethlehem, rin, rin
I patched myself up, I patched myself up
I put a patch on myself, I took it off
The gypsies have entered

And to the child in the cradle, rumble, rumble
I patched myself up, I patched myself up
I put a patch on myself, I took it off
The diapers have been stolen from him

Maria, Maria, come here flying
That the diapers are being stolen

Maria, Maria, come here flying
That the diapers are being stolen
Towards Bethlehem goes a donkey, rin, rin
I patched myself up, I patched myself up
I put a patch on myself, I took it off
Loaded with chocolate

He carries in his chocolate pot, rin, rin
I patched myself up, I patched myself up
I put a patch on myself, I took it off
Your grinder and your brazier

Maria, Maria, come here running
They are eating the chocolate
Maria, Maria, come here running
They are eating the chocolate
