The November festivities in Cartagena, celebrated with enthusiasm and vitality, are presented as a unique experience for those who wish to immerse themselves in the cultural wealth of Colombia while learning Spanish at our school, Nueva Lengua. During this vibrant month, the city becomes the perfect setting to merge language learning with celebrating deep-rooted traditions and participating in cultural events.

The Independence Festival stands out as one of the highlights, where parades, concerts and civic activities not only commemorate Cartagena's freedom from Spanish rule, but also offer our students the opportunity to immerse themselves in local history and identity. The Customs Square becomes an epicenter of fun, where troupes and floats parade, and concerts and artistic events are held that will enrich the cultural experience of our students.

Gastronomy, always so important in Colombian culture, becomes a delicious excuse to explore new flavors and learn vocabulary related to food. From exquisite coconut rice to traditional egg arepas, our students will have the opportunity to enjoy authentic culinary delights.

The fusion of the modern and the historic, evident in the mix of events and traditions, creates a festive and colorful atmosphere that reflects the welcoming identity of Cartagena. Children and adults actively participate in the celebration, painting faces and wearing colorful costumes that reflect the innate joy of the Cartagena community.

En Nueva Lengua, we not only offer you the opportunity to learn Spanish effectively, but also the possibility of immersing yourself in the cultural richness of Colombia and living unique experiences. Come and be part of the November festivities in Cartagena while you perfect your Spanish with us!
