Course Descriptions:
Standard Spanish Course: Combine your Spanish studies with tourism, work or play. This course is a half day beginning at 9:00 am until 12:00 p.m, Monday through Friday. This course focuses on improving your communication skills, listening comprehension, conversation, grammar, vocabulary, reading and pronunciation. More information: Standard Spanish Course.
Intensive Spanish Course: Our intensive course offers 4 hours of lessons, with classes Monday through Friday beginning at 8:00 am until 12pm. This course focus is the same as our standard course working on communication, listening, conversation, grammar, vocabulary, reading, and pronunciation skills. Spanish Course and Volunteer: Combine our Intensive Spanish Course with the opportunity to volunteer within the local community. While your classes will focus on grammar, conversation, and language comprehension; as a volunteer you will have the opportunity to donate your time to a worthwhile charity (such as an orphanage, hospital, or school). Spanish Course and Dance Lessons: Combine your Spanish studies with dancing lessons! This course includes our Intensive Spanish course, followed by dancing classes in the afternoon with a professional instructor. You will move your feet and hips in traditional Latin American dances such as Salsa, Tango, and Merengue. Also, we include instruction in typical Colombian dances such as Cumbia, Mapale, and Vallento. More information: Spanish Course and Dancing Lessons.
Spanish Course and Music Lessons: Combine your Spanish studies with music lessons! This course includes our Intensive Spanish course, followed by two one hour private sessons a week with a professional instructor. Select from lessons in piano, guitar, or base guitar. Spanish Course and SCUBA (mini course or PADI OPEN WATERS certification course): This Cartagena course includes our Intensive Spanish course, followed by a diving course in the afternoons. We recommend the mini course for those that can only enroll for one week. For those students interested in OPEN WATER CERTIFICATION to become independent divers, we offer our longer diving course. Enrollment for two weeks is a requirement for this course. Finally, we offer scuba or snorkling excursions to Rosary Islands National Park. Spanish Course and Kitesurfing (Kiteboarding): This course allows you to combine our Intensive Spanish Course with a kitesurfing (kiteboarding) course in Cartagena for students enrolling from December to March. Spanish Course and Sailing (Sunfish): For those students interested in cruising the water on more that just a board, choose to study in our Intensive Spanish Course and take a sailing course using the easiest and most popular type of sailboat - the Sunfish. Spanish Course and Windsurfing: This course allows you to combine our Intensive Spanish Course with a windsurfing course in Cartagena and is available year round. Spanish Course & Business: We work with you to customize this course for your specific professional needs! Topics are prepared in advance to ensure the material is relevant and tailored to the business needs of the student. Spanish & Medical Vocabulary: This course is designed for those that want develp skills in Spanish and Medicine. We work with you to design the lessons and choose the topics to provide you with relevant and tailored lessons. You are going to learn vocabulary and subjects related to medicine. Weekend Spanish Inmersion Course: If you want to travel on your weekend and learn Spanish, this course is for you. This is an immersion course during a weekend in a city close to Bogota. Spanish Course In Individual Private Lessons: We offer students the opportunity to have individual attention through private lessons of 15, 20 or 25 hour per week. As with all our Spanish courses your tutor will provide instruction in communication skills, listening comprehension, conversation, grammar, vocabulary, reading and pronunciation. Spanish Course Online: Unable to join us in person? Let Nueva Lengua’s General Spanish courses come to you in our online program. We offer five levels from Pre-Elementary (A1) to Upper Intermediate (B2). Each complete level contains between 120 and 150 hours of study time and each student is assigned a highly qualified personal tutor to support you in your studies.
