Spanish course and diving in Cartagena, Colombia (mini course)

This course combines our Intensive Spanish course in the mornings, with diving classes in the afternoons and on weekends.

The dive center is GOLD PALM RESORT BY PADI. The highest category that this association delivers to diving centers around the world thanks to the equipment used, the air quality, the necessary safety elements, but above all the people who participate in the teaching process.

Additionally, you can enjoy of two free cultural activities per week (if they fit into your sports practice schedule).

Cartagena is an ideal place to enjoy diving, due to its climate, tradition and safety conditions for practicing this sport, and its proximity to the Islas del Rosario Natural Park.

This park is perfect for observing, at a very shallow depth and in crystal clear waters, the colorful spectacle of coral reefs. The Park mainly protects underwater ecosystems, among which coral reefs stand out, fragile ecosystems inhabited by a multitude of invertebrates, a diversity of fish, extensive seagrass beds and sea grasses.

General objectives of the course:

  • Students will improve their speaking, listening, reading comprehension, and writing skills.

  • Students will gain valuable cultural experiences to appreciate and understand the city and its people.

  • Students will have the opportunity to explore the tropical waters of the Caribbean and receive diving lessons from the best diving center in the city.

Objectives of the mini diving course:

  • The course has been designed under the following standards: the program provides the opportunity to dive to people who are in the process of completing their course.

  • This experience presents diving as a pleasant and attractive activity, generating a feeling of comfort and security.

  • The course is especially recommended for people who travel the coastal region for a few days and cannot take the full course.

Course features:

  • Theoretical sessions conducted under the self-motivating methodology of the PADI course. The classes are preferably taught in Spanish, but, if necessary, it will be explained in English.

  • Two practical sessions in a pool, each lasting approximately two hours.

  • Transportation to Rosario Islands.

  • All the basic equipment for diving.

  • Open water dives (Rosario Islands).

  • Accident insurance during the dive time.
